Apart from that weird grille, you wouldn't expect this car to be from Lexus. Normally, Lexus just has boring, luxury cars that aren't too much fun to drive. This car, the RC, is quite different. It's not only very striking and aggressive looking, but in a weird way, it is quite a pretty car to look at.
Inside the RC, you get a typical two door coupe layout. The backseats have little to no leg room, unless you're very small. You also get the typical luxuries that you'd expect from Lexus. The surprising aspects is how sporty this interior feels. The front seats have a very sporty feel when you sit down, and hold you in place while you're driving.
There are two engine choices for the RC: a 306-hp V6 or a 467-hp V8 in the RC F. While the V8 is much faster, the V6 is pretty quick, going from 0-60 mph in just under 6 seconds. When you're driving in the regular eco mode, the car feels quiet and relaxed. It's almost like you're not driving a sporty car at all. However, this car is sort of like a sleeping guard dog. It seems boring at first, but if you poke it with a stick a few times, it wakes up and gets angry. Put the car into sport mode, put your foot down, and the V6 wakes up and starts barking at you in a very angry tone.
There is however one problem; the weight. This car weighs almost 4,000 lbs, making it heavier than most other sports cars. This added weight does mean that it doesn't feel very fast, and when you turn hard into a corner, it feels like it's going to roll off the road.
But apart from the weight issue, this car is actually much more interesting than all the other models Lexus make. It's much prettier than you'd expect and it sounds like a wild animal that wants to attack you. So, if you're looking to try something a bit different, the RC is a sporty car that will constantly surprise you.
