Test Drive: 2013 Cadillac CTS-V

Test Drive: 2013 Cadillac CTS-V

The CTS-V may look like an ordinary Cadillac. The outside consisting of a coupe, sedan, or wagon. It has the Cadillac grille, Cadillac headlights, and Cadillac taillights. Inside, it also looks like a typical Cadillac as well. The feeling of luxury with the hand stitched leather and wood veneer cover the inside in luxurious elegance.
Dont be fooled though, this is the V- Class, Cadillacs sport division. Put your foot down, and this will get from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds dead. Thats enough to wake up any old person whos used to a slow, relaxed drive. It will then continue on to a top speed of 179 mph. This speed is due to the 556 hp supercharged V8.
Of course speed isnt the only thing this car has. It also has superb handling, due to magnetic shocks that can be changed depending on what mode you set it to. It even has different race analysis including a track timer and a g-meter. The one thing that would top this car is if it has a heads up display for the speedometer like in the XTS.
The one thing that was a little irritating was the door handle. This is one of the first Cadillacs to not include a door handle. Instead, it has an insert where the door handle should be. After five minutes of fiddling around, there is a rubber piece that you push and this will open the door. Despite the annoying door, this is a great Cadillac. It has the perfect combination of luxury and performance. There will be a V-Class of the new ATS coming sometime this year. Well see if that has the same speed and handling as the CTS-V.
