Almost all major car companies have different versions of the cars they make. Some have versions that are meant for the track and others have versions meant for long drives. While the major exotic car makers have developed some sort of hybrid supercar, McLaren has decided to go one step further.
McLaren has decided to take their P1 and create a race track version. Now known as the P1 GTR, this will feature a hybrid system like the current P1, except it will be much faster and more brutal. In case there were those insane people who thought the P1 wasn't fast enough. At the moment, McLaren has only shown off some sketches as to what the car will look like. It looks similar to the P1, only the intakes are much bigger, as is the huge wing at the back.
No word on performance figures or what type of engine will power this car, but the P1 GTR will be making its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 15. Production of the GTR probably won't start until June of 2015. If rumors are true, Ferrari may plan on making an even more hardcore version of the LaFerrari. Let the hybrid supercar wars begin.
