If you were a car fan when you were a child, chances are you really wanted that bed shaped like a race car. Of course, only kids with some really nice parents would ever be able to have one. Now, there is a new alternative for adults who never got that race car bed when they were kids.
It's called the Consolatio Car Bed made by furniture company Morgann Paull. From the untrained eye, it looks like a regular bed until you notice the two car seats used as the headboard. Found at an auto salvage yard, these two leather seats are supposedly so comfortable that you can use them to either read or watch TV. Behind the headboard are loads of storage areas for your books, magazines, or lights. If you want to separate the two sections, there are armrests with built-in cup holders that fold down to give both sides some privacy.
Now all of these beds are built to order and can be delivered in either two pieces or five pieces. The price is about what you'd think an expensive car bed would be. It's around $3,999, so you might want to get rid of your old bed first, and maybe some furniture that your no longer using. But now, adults can finally feel like a kid again without actually looking like someone sleeping in a bed that's too small for them.
