Car Review: 2015 Kia K900

It's been a few years since Kia entered into the car market. Since then, they have mainly made boring family cars and weird looking hipster cars. Now, Kia is looking at going into the luxury market by trying to take on the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes S-Class.

It's called the K900, and not only is this Kia's first luxury sedan, it's their first rear wheel drive V8 car. From the looks of it, it looks like any other four door Kia. It's when you step inside where things start changing. You enter into an interior covered with real wood and real leather. You've got plenty of gadgets to keep you occupied. The real surprise is when you get into the back seat. You get what looks like a regular armrest, but this armrest lets you control the heated and cooled seats, and how much you want your seat to recline. It still has a way to go before Mercdes starts worrying, but it's not bad for a Kia.

When you get into the drivers seat, it feels more like a small limousine than a sports sedan. Even though it has a 5.0L V8 with 420-hp, it doesn't throw you into your seat when you put your foot down. It doesn't even make that much noise for a big V8. All you get is a sporty sedan that feels like a regular sedan.

For a company like Kia, this car is a nice change of pace. It gives people a comfortable, luxurious feel without paying tons of money for a luxury car. The K900 won't change the look and feel of a luxury car, but it will change your perception of Kia.
