If someone becomes disabled or unable to walk due to old age, they may have to spend the rest o their lives confined to a wheelchair. Most people will look at the positive outcomes, but most wheelchairs are pretty much boring. Sure, you can do wheelies in them and there are some that can roll around without someone behind pushing it. But realistically, most wheelchairs are not very fun to be in.
Now, a company called Whill is working on making wheelchairs and mobility scooters more fun and interesting to be in. It's called the Whill Type A and t just looks like an ordinary scooter. When you sit in it, suddenly you realize that this scooter was designed to go anywhere. Thanks to four wheel drive and the fact that the wheels are actually 24 different wheels combined to make one wheel, this mobility scooter can not only go in any direction with no problems, it can also travel on dirt, gravel, grass, and even light snow. This makes it very convenient for anyone who wants to travel outside and go for some nature walks.
Unlike other scooters, it's got many added features. It has lights for people to see you, hooks to keep your bags on, cup holders for your drinks, and three different options to control it ranging from a mouse to a joystick. While most scooters take forever to charge, this only takes five hours and can last for up to 15 miles on a single charge. It can even fit into the back of a car very easily due to it's small size. It's only 24 inches wide and 33 inches long. Most scooters aren't even half that size.
The company is looking at raising $30,000 for the project and has now reached $23,000 so far. You can check out the company website to find out more about this futuristic scooter and even contribute if you want. Now, anyone who is confined to a wheelchair or someone who is sick of their boring scooter can now look for something that will give them the joy of moving around anywhere they want with no problems.
