When you think of a Volkswagen GTI, a few things come to mind. You either think of it as either a hot hatch, a faster Golf, or a fast and expensive shoe. You either will love it or hate it. But to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo, Volkswagen has come up with a much different version of the GTI.
Inside, there are no back seats. Just two front bucket seats and a cockpit style dash in front. Power comes from a twin turbo V6 making 503-horsepower. Volkswagen estimates that this car could hit 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 192 mph.
Like the Mercedes Gran Turismo concept, this will most likely never become a reality. The only way you could drive it is by getting Gran Turismo 6. If only cars that you can drive in video games can actually be driven in real life. I'm sure the experience would be way better than driving it on your couch.
