For years, Toyota has been saying that they will stop making boring four door sedans and go back to making real sportscars. Sadly, for the last few decades, the only thing Toyota has done is try to make their boring sedans seem more sporty. But they're not fooling anyone. At least they came up with the Scion FR-S, so they do know how to make a sportscar for fun.
The FT-1 Concept that debuted at the Detroit Motor Show also suggests that not only can they still make a sportscar, but that this may actually become real. Apart from the turtle like face, this is a pretty sexy looking beast. On the inside, it looks like a car designers vision for cars in the future. Normally, interiors never look like this, but who knows what the future brings. Even the dash is pretty cool looking with a cross between a 1980's video game and wearing night vision goggles.
There is no word on what will power this car but chances are it will most likely be some sort of hybrid. There is also no word on whether this car will be made in the future, but it will appear in Gran Turismo 6, where players can drive the FT-1 on a virtual Fuji Speedway.
