Lexus LF-LC Blue
Lexus unveiled the LF-LC Blue at the Australian International Motor Show.
The LF-LC Blue is the second edition of the LF-CL concept. The original concept was unveiled at the Detroit auto show, and was heralded as the representative car for the next generation of Lexus vehicles.
With the introduction of the new and improved second edition of the LF-LC concept, Toyota sent a strong signal that the company is serious about the commitment it made with the concept. In other words, a car bearing many elements of this concept could be seen at Lexus showrooms in the near future.
The LF-LC uses "Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive", which combines an Atkinson cycle combustion engine and an advanced high-energy battery pack. The drivetrain produces 500HP equivalent power.
Toyota engineers successfully combined carbon fiber and aluminum to create ultra light body for the concept. The concept's glass roof also features a lightweight, cantilevered pillar with glass-to-glass junction.
The concept's interior features design elements that are inspired more by natural elements, which is a significant departure from current Lexus models' in the market.
The LF-LC Blue's exterior color is inspired by opal, which is abundantly found in outback Australia.
