It�s a landmark of American muscle, and on most people�s car wish list. But the truth is the Corvette is not the best sports car. In fact, it�s not even the best car ever built. It�s got way too much power with absolutely no suspension at all. You�d have more of a rush if you drive in a Honda Civic. Don�t get me wrong, it is a beauty to look at. Whenever I see one, I do check it out almost as if a pretty woman just walked by me. It is fast as well. The latest Corvette can reach speeds up to over 200 mph. That sounds great, until you try to turn a corner and start losing control due to the lack of suspension and steering. The Corvettes of the 60�s, 70�s, and 90�s were much more fun, since they were built out of actual metal instead of plastic, and had an engine that it could actually handle. With the new Corvettes, lean against the back end and you�ll start to bend due to the cheap plastic body. I don�t want to know what would happen if you rear ended it. A good example of a well-built sports car is the Saturn Sky. It looks just like a modern sports car, and with the turbo, it even goes just as fast as a sports car. The difference between the Saturn Sky and a Corvette is the handling. You turn a corner at high speeds in a Saturn Sky, and you�ll still be on the road, unlike the Corvette which will just start spinning out and leaving fighting to stay on the road. So when comes to exciting sports cars, there are much bett3r selections, like the Saturn Sky and the Dodge Viper. Why anyone would waste their money on the new Corvette Z06 when they can buy a Viper or Sky at around the same price, and get a much better driving experience I�ll never understand.
