Lamborghini Goes Hybrid with the Asterion LPI 910-4

With the Paris Motor Show beginning tomorrow, many car makers are starting to roll out new models and concept cars to show off at the show. Lamborghini is one of the few car companies that ever show off a concept, let alone a new model. But, the Italian car company is bringing a very special concept car to the Paris Motor Show.

In response to the outcry for better fuel economy, all car companies, including supercars, are hitting the electric and hybrid market. Now, Lamborghini have created their own hybrid supercar. Known as the Asterion after a Greek mythical minotaur, this hybrid uses the same 610-hp V10 from the Huracan and combines three electric motors good for a combined 300-hp. In total, this will give the Asterion 910-hp, making this the most powerful Lamborghini ever made. The 0-60 mph is an estimated 3 seconds and on to a top speed of 199 mph. It can even do 78 mph on just the electric motors alone.

Being a Lambo, this car does have it's striking good looks. With its sharp angles and huge grilles, it seems very aggressive yet still civilized. It's almost like looking at a biker dining out at a fancy party. Inside, you still get the jet fighter feel with the digital dashboard and giant center console positioned conveniently next to you.

No word on what fuel economy rating this car will get. It might be the first Lambo to hit over 20 mpg. There's no word on whether this concept will even be built. But if the Urus told us anything, it's that some concepts do make it into production. They just take a long time and only come out in a limited production.
