There are a few Japanese car brands in the U.S. The most recognizable are usually Toyota, Mazda, and Nissan. Chances are you probably haven't heard of the company called Mitsuoka. Known mostly for customizing existing cars, it does make it's own supercar called the Orochi.
Introduced back in 2001 and named after a Japanese eight headed dragon, the Orochi was intened to be a "fashion supercar," whatever that is. Of course by the looks of it, you wouldn't call it a fashion accessory. In fact, this is probably something you'd intentionally forget at home.
Despite it's weird looking exterior, the interior is simple and luxurious. It even has things that other supercars don't have, like GPS navigation, airbags, and air conditioning. Power comes from a 3.3L V6 mad by Toyota with only 233-hp. Not sure why there wasn't more power added since most drivers probably don't want to be seen driving it.
With a limited production of only 400 cars in four years and a scathing review by American and British car reviewers, it's surprising the little supercar is still around. But to celebrate it's departure, Mitsuoka will be debuting a final edition. It will be fitted with a front splitter, a rear wing, and your choice of either Fuyoru blackberry or light gold pearl paint. Farewell to the car that got judged mainly for how it looked.
