There haven't been many great supercars to come out of the U.S. The Viper and the Corvette both have supercar speed, but they both feel more like muscle cars than actual supercars. The only true supercar is the Hennessey Venom GT. Now, there is another small company looking to challenge the insane supercars from Europe.
It's called the Nemesis and it comes from a California company called Trion. Now, there are two great things this car has in its favor. It has an amazing name and the company sounds like something you'd see in Transformers. It also looks like it wants to either kill you or make you wish it killed you. Either way, it looks fantastic. It even has a body made entirely out of carbon fiber and an interior complete with digital everything and internet connectivity. There's even enough space in the trunk to fit a set of golf clubs.
But what really should have Europe worried is what powers this car. Powered by a twin-turbo V8, it is said that this will generate around 2000 horsepower. With that said, it is also said that it could hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 mph. Those are the same figures that Koenigsegg say their new car would do.
If everything goes well, the car should be ready to go into production by next year and will cost around $1 million. That's not bad since the Koenigsegg One:1 and the Bugatti Veyron are closer to $2 million. When this car does come out next year, chances are there will be one amazing race to see.
