Of all the movies to be debuting this weekend, the one that looks the most action packed is Need For Speed. Based off of the Need For Speed video game and starring Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad, the basic plot is about an auto mechanic who races cars on the weekend. He is then arrested for killing his friend, which he didn't do. After getting out of prison after two years, he is then determined to race to the real killer in an illegal street race and bring justice to his dead friend.
Besides the pointless storyline and some cheesy lines, the one thing that makes this movie one to go see are the car scenes. With cars ranging from classics to modern supercars, every single chase scene is actually made with real cars and it looks realistic. Every crash was real and there were almost no computer generated crashes to make the movie exciting.
With most movies spending millions of dollars on special effects, it's nice to see a movie with car chases that look like they're actually happening. This goes back to the iconic car chases from movies from the 60's and 70's including Bullitt and Smokey and the Bandit. There's even a few hints to both movies if you pay attention.
So overall, it's basically a movie that you go to if you love cars and want to see some old fashioned, real life car chase scenes. Plus, you even get to see the new 2015 Ford Mustang make an appearance, plus other cars including a Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, and a Koenigsegg Agera R. That's one car that I would love to drive but will mot likely never get a chance at driving since it's not legal in the U.S. yet.
If I were to see this movie again, it would definitely be for the cars and the cute humor that's occasionally thrown in. But if you want to see a movie that has a much more interesting plot, you'll probably want to go se something else.
