Carvana may be the Future of Car Buying

Carvana may be the Future of Car Buying

Even though the internet has made car buying much faster and easier, dealerships are still the main way most people buy cars. Even if someone decides to buy a car online, they still visit the dealership or current owner to buy and get the car. Now, a car company called Carvana located in Atlanta, Georgia is looking at making buying a used car even easier.

Besides browsing for a car on their website, customers can also pay for the car online and don't have to deal with any people. Pictures of the cars can be seen from all angles and show details including scratches and dings. Carvana never buys cars with frame damages or that have been in an accident. Customers can either pick up the car or have it delivered at no cost.

At the moment, Carvana only has one facility in Atlanta and can deliver cars within a 75 mile radius for free. They can deliver cars further up around the west coast, but customers will be charged extra for the delivery.

The company is looking at expanding into other areas, but with the convenience of buying a car online, having a virtual dealership may not only allow people to buy cars with less stress, other dealerships may decide to do the same thing. Only time will tell whether this virtual dealership will ever catch on to other dealerships around the country.
