Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster
Lamborghini introduced a convertible version of the Aventador: LP 700-4 Roadster.
Since the launch of the new coupe Aventador in 2011, Lamborghini has sold over 1,300 units in one year. With the convertible verion of the Aventador, Lamborghini expects further success with the Aventador line.
The Aventador Roadster replaces the Murcielago Roadster. The Aventador Roadster's removable top design is little different from its predecessor's. The new top is a two-piece structure and snaps on. Because of its carbon fiber material, the top weighs only about 13 pounds and can be stored in the trunk up front.
Not that it would matter too much for Lamborghini buyers, but the company is paying attention to its super sports cars' fuel efficiency. Lamborghini started to use cylinder deactivation and quick stop and go systems for its new engines. The 6.5L V12 engine with 691 horses can clock 0-60MPH in three seconds, and now offers improved MPG.
The design of the Aventador Roadster is remarkably Lamborghini. Lamborghini designers somehow successfully created even more muscular of a look for the convertible. The introduced a new flow of geometric lines, and the car is absolutely gorgeous.
