The Italian design studio StudioTorino unveils his latest project: the Coupetorino 2013 is a Shooting Brake on a Mercedes SL Roadster.
After last week presented the Moncenisio, the Italian design company, StudioTorino, unveils the Coupetorino 2013. It is a stylistic study by six students of the school of design "Istituto di Arte Applicata e Design" (IAAD) of Turin. They looked to their end of the year, a latest generation Mercedes SL and chose to turn it into an elegant version Shooting Brake.

The students completed their project in full collaboration with StudioTorino and Mercedes-Benz in the person of Steffen Koehl, director of the division responsible for identifying future trends and adapt the design of vehicles it. Started in November 2012, the final draft was presented by the students on May 27 at Mercedes-Benz Design Center in Como, Italy. It takes the form of a 1/4th scale model.
The production line of sight
The transformation of a roadster Shooting Brake is a real challenge, both stylistically and technically, the students have had IAAD lond integrate all of their project the concept of technical feasibility and cost of production. Thus the Coupetorino 2013 may need to be produced, either as a single model, or ultra-limited edition.
