The AWD requires a substantial supplement |
Defender of traditional propulsion, BMW sells more to the lure of the AWD. Starting this summer, this technology will land on new variants of Series 1 and Series 3.
Unlike its predecessor, the current Series 1 can have four wheel drive. But for now, the xDrive is reserved for two variants salted price: 120d of 184 hp and 320 hp M135i.
To make a third choice, more affordable, it will be this summer. At that time, the four-cylinder diesel 143 hp 118d may result from four wheels to gain traction. All this for a price that is expected to be 30,000 in three-door, instead of 28 000 for the version of propulsion and 32,450 for a 120d xDrive.

The temperament of propulsion was largely watered down |
Led by the same mechanics as his little sister 118d, the 318d can also be ordered with all-wheel drive with the same period in the Saloon and Touring wagon. But for the 3 Series, the summer will also mark the beginning of a particularly muscular diesel variant: the 335d. Shared with the 5 Series, 6 Series and 7 Series other, the six-cylinder twin-turbo 313 hp cause all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Enough to make the most powerful family that are fueled by diesel.
