Whenever you want to find out what the new thing will be for cars, just look at the new S-Class from Mercedes Benz. Ever since patenting the first car, Mercedes Benz has always been the pioneers of the automotive world. Every new standard feeature that's put in cars, Mercedes is always the first to do it.
One very interesting feature that hasn't been seen in a car is the new massage function. Now, I know there are massage functions in already existing cars like the Jaguar XJ, but this massage system is a bit different. This massage system is based and designed to reflect the "hot-stone" method, the same treatment you'd find at a fancy spa. The seats are programmed with six different massage techniques that range from the type of massage to the degree of heat used.Another feature not seen in a car is the new "active perfuming system." This lets you control what the inside of your car smells like. You have four different scents to choose from; Nightlife which probably smeels like booze and regret, Freeside which probably smells like somone who hasn't showered in weeks, Downtown which probably smells like old garbage, and Sport which probably smells like sweaty socks. If none of these scents floats your boat, you will have the option of choosing your own scent. The scents are not permanent because they only spray into the air not on any of the fabric or upholstery of the car.
The Mercedes S-Class has alwys been what the car industry turns to for the new luxury and safety features. From the introduction of anti-lock brakes, air bags, and traction control, Mercedes Benz has alwys been at the forefront of automotive design. This new S-Class is focusing more on comfort and luxury rather than on safety and performance. Of course, those two features are still important to Mercedes, but rather than making the car better for the driver, they're focusing on making the car better for the passengers.
