When you think of British roadsters, you probably think of classic cars from the 60's with an old fashioned straight six and a luxurious interior to sit in. If you want a British car that's hardcore and extremely hard to drive, you want the Noble M600.
Using the twin turbo V8 from a Volvo SUV sending 650-hp to the rear wheels, this car will blow any car you throw at it to the curb. With that said, since it is British, it's made in a giant shed. With that, you get a fast car with no ABS, no traction control, and no airbag. That's probably why you can't get a Noble M600 is the U.S. The stupid heath and safety people would go nuts if they know of a car that's not ridiculously safe.
To get into other markets, the people over at Noble are looking at making a few changes to the M600. It's still going to have the same engine and no safety features will be added, thankfully. The two changes that will be happening are a paddle shifting transmission and no roof. No word yet on what type of transmission will be replacing the hardcore manual transmission and no word on whether the roof will be an automatic roof or one you have to take off yourself.
You can still get the hardtop with the old fashioned manual if you want, but you'll have to move to Britain in order to get one. Maybe if the health and safety people lighten up and stop being so paranoid about everything, maybe we'll see the M600 in the States. But, since pretty much everyone is always worrying about everything, that probably will never happen.
