Mini Superleggera Vision Steals the Show at the Concorso d'Eleganza

Every year, BMW unveils a concept car during the Concorso d'Eleganza at the Villa d'Este. Most of the time, BMW just uses these concepts to show off where the company will be headed. Very rarely do these concepts ever get made. This is no exception to this beautiful looking Mini Roadster BMW brought to the show.

Called the Mini Superleggera Vision, this concept was designed by Touring Superleggera, the same company that designed the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante. It is a very different take on Mini, since the new Mini is not only bigger, but also looks like it's been completely terrified. The body of this concept is made entirely out of aluminum, and there are even Union Jacks inside the tailights.

Inside you notice more tribute to classic British roadsters. The interior is simple and covered with leather and aluminum. The steering wheel is a three spoke wheel, paying tribute to the old fashioned wooden steering wheels.

Power doesn't come from an engine, but an electric motor. No word on how fast this roadster will go, but it doesn't really matter since this car will never see production. But we can only hope that some of this cars features will go into future Mini cars.
