Volvo hasn't been the carmaker that makes fun or exciting cars. To be honest, most cars that Volvo make are quite boring. But instead of making exciting cars, Volvo decides to set their sights on safety. In fact, Volvos are some of the saefest cars anyone can buy. They're so safe that the worst drivers in the world usually buy them. They know they're going to crash anyway, so they might as well be in a safe car.
Now, Volvo is looking at making it's littlest passengers safe by showing a concept of a child safety seat that inflates. While this will keep a child safe if their ever in a crash, but the real reason is to make the child seats lighter to carry and easier to transport.
Weighing only 11 pounds and able to fit into any bag when deflated, this little air seat can inflate and deflate in only 40 seconds. That's less time than it takes to put in an actual car seat. To keep the seat inflated, the car seat even comes with an attachable electric motor. It probably also allows the seat to become a mini massage seat.
At the moment, the inflatable seat is just a concept, but it is Volvos way of showing that not only do they care about all their customers, but that they're also trying to make people's lives easier.
