The 2014 HB Coupe Classic and Road Racer Renderings are the latest offerings from HB (Huet Brothers). Production will be limited to a total of forty cars in 2014. The cars will be produced based on reservations.
This HB Coupe series follows the concept drawings announced in January 2012, but the production cars will have significant changes from the concept. The biggest change will be under the hood; the instead of the previous six-cylinder, you will be getting an inline-4.
Performance
The smaller engine and other design changes means that production cars will be 91 pounds lighter than originally planned. In this way, HB has managed to maintain the same performance level with reduced fuel consumption.
You can choose between two different versions of the 2.0-liter engine. The standard version is delivers 170 horsepower; the Cosworth version produces more horsepower at 255. Both engines will be helped by a six speed manual gearshift.
Renderings
The Company will manufacture three versions of the car. The HB Coupe Classic and the HB Coupe Road Racer, the first two are intended for road use; while the HB Coupe RACE version is solely for racetrack use only. The latter includes a safety roll cage as well as a customizable fuel cell. All three types feature a lightweight, carbon monocoque frame that weighs in at just less than 364 pounds.
Ordering
An initial reservation form can be completed free of charge. This will reserve a production slot for thirty days, after which buyers will be required to pay a deposit or lose their slot. Payment of the deposit secures the manufacturing slot, and the deposit will be refundable if the buyer cancels before production starts.
A second payment must be made to continue production. This phase will include a purchase contract detailing all the options chosen. The final payment is due on delivery.
