2013 Opel Cascada

2013 Opel Cascada

The 2013 Opel Cascada returns us to the days of the 1950's and 60"s when mid-size, four seat convertibles openly wandered the European countryside. Following a time that found compact soft tops such as the Astra and Kadett cabriolets prevalent, the Cascada is a refreshing alternative featuring the finest in today's technology.
Many new safety features as well as those of comfort and convenience are available with this model.

Engine
A 1.4 liter gas turbo powers the 2013 Cascada with 2 output options of either 120 or 140 horsepower. Either choice is combined with a 6 speed manual transmission to insure optimum speed and performance.
A diesel is also offered. Another power option that is sure to be popular is the 1.6 SIDI Turbo ECOTEC gasoline engine. This motor can be combined with either the manual 6 speed or a 6 speed automatic transmission.
The automatic allows you to select shifting in a manual mode when desired. The ride is excellent for a convertible, as Opel has included steel crossed bars in its underbody as well as reinforced rockers.

Exterior
The Opel Cascada measures 185 inches in length and is 72 inches wide excluding the outside mirrors. While riding with the top down, the silhouette of this vehicle is flawless. The rooftop cover and protection from rollovers are neatly hidden allowing for a seamless profile.
Perhaps even more impressive is the cars appearance with the top up. Most convertibles appear sleek in the open air but somewhat awkward when closed. This is not the case here. The soft top is aerodynamically fitted to the body and nothing is lost in the translation.
The lines along the side merge well with the rear and wrap around lights in the backend. A chrome strip encompasses the cockpit forming a distinctly separated top and body.
Interior
The 2013 Opel Cascada features a wing shaped instrument panel with a soft stream of wrapped surface extending to the front door. The seat trim is plush with a wide array of quality fabrics available. The seat themselves are ergonomic and made of Nappa leather. The seats offer ventilation in warmer weather and a heating function during colder seasons.
