Introducing the Cadillac Ciel: From Concept to Reality

Introducing the Cadillac Ciel: From Concept to Reality

Back in the 80's and 90's, luxury cars were not the best cars being made. They had horrible build quality, they rocked back and forth like an elderly person, and they were unbelievably slow. But besides all of that, you at least got a fairly comfortable and relaxing ride.

Cadillac is looking at bringing that type of luxury car back. Released as a concept back in 2011, the Ciel is Cadillac's return to the boat sized luxury car brand. This car is meant to be the mixture of both sportiness and luxury. It will have Cadillac's all new turbocharged V6 along with a separate battery powered system. This isn't some dumb hybrid like the Prius, this is something that is meant to be a relaxing cruiser and then transform into a speedy luxury convertible.

The inside is just brimming with luxury features. Olive wood finish, plus a sunscreen dispenser for those long drives with the roof down. All four seats can even heat up or cool down. The exterior doors act as a reminder of luxury cars of the past with the suicide door style.

This car is looking at being released sometime in early 2014. Of course, this car isn't going to come cheap. The rumored starting price is around $100,000. With that price tag though, you know you're getting something incredibly special. Hopefully it won't rock back and forth every time you get out of it.
