Quite uncomfortable, the Micra is especially suited for urban use |
Nissan has decided not to offer diesel in Europe on its fourth generation Micra. And to fill this gap by a compressed gas engine, 98 hp, CO2 emissions and very low consumption. Mission accomplished?
Diesel urban often distinguished by their very simple mechanical, but rather noisy.
Hence the reflection of Nissan engineers - who have not yet had a small diesel Euro 5 - to combine pleasure and fuel economy with a petrol engine. Offering 98 hp with a compressor, three-cylinder 1.2 DIG-S boards, in addition, all the attributes of a perfect thrifty. Direct injection, Stop & Start, alternator detachable ... With all this, Nissan Announces 95 g / km of CO2 (with 14-inch wheels, if 99 g / km). So, on paper, mission accomplished.

But 1.2 98 hp is there enough out of the 1.2 80 bhp to justify a premium of about 1,000 (400 2011 bonus deducted)? And consumption are they really lower? On driving pleasure, the extra torque provided by the suralimention gives wings to the Micra ... on the main roads. For the city, the compressor is disengaged rather discreet. It is only "walk the plank" that it offers the DIG-S well above the 80bhp version performance. More than 2 seconds won the 0-100 km / h times and much more energetic, allowing serene overruns.
The behavior is not the most effective of the class, but its reassures |
The rear space is proving fairly counted |
