2014 Kia Forte
Kia's all new Forte may be the most stylish of all small cars.
Granted, style is subjective, and beauty can be in the eye of the beholder. Then enter Peter Schreyer. Ever since Kia lured away Schreyer from Audi, Kia has been pumping out vehicles with the look and feel that just exudes loftiness. Kia's cars are more balanced and classy and elegant, without being boring. Most people who tried at designing cars (or anything for that matter) would understand that talent and gift somehow define how some folks produce stylish creation. Kia's new Forte may be the epitome of stylish cars that the automaker outputted under Schreyer's guidance.
Sitting on a new chassis that is wider, longer and lower, the new Forte gives off the vibe of a $30,000 luxury compact sedan. But the Forte alas is not a luxury car, and the first impression of driving the car betrays the car's exterior design. Then, the driver has to be self-reminded that it is okay for a good looking car to drive like a sub-$20,000 economy car.
It is questionable if Kia could continue its meteoric success of late, but the new Forte would certainly help the company prolong the growth rate as long as they can.
